BodyBuilders

Bodybuilders is a Wednesday morning meeting open to women of all ages who want to build each other up by studying the Bible and praying together. It is apparently occasionally mistaken for a Keep Fit class... the analogy is of course deliberate and we do indeed work out, stretch (ouch!) and tone up but all the while firmly seated. The 'Body' is not just our group but our church and we also pray for wider concerns as presented by members of the group. For several women this is their 'home group' while for others it provides an additional valuable forum for belonging and learning.

10.30 Coffee

10.45 Prayer and Bible Study (Crèche provided)
Our weekly gatherings provide a context for developing and maintaining friendships while we aim to encourage one another to broaden and deepen our understanding of and grip on God's Word so we can better know how to keep in step with God's Spirit in our daily living. The format we usually follow for our studying is, where possible, private preparation leading to weekly very open discussion. We explore the directed passages and themes and relate them widely to as many aspects of contemporary life and thought as we find relevant. For example recently we have completed a series on the first eleven chapters of Genesis under the title 'Beyond Eden' (Good Book Company). This has involved us in trying to understand what it means to be made in the image of God and to gain a Biblical outlook on technology, among other topics!

Brunch

Women's brunch takes place on the second saturday of every month from 9.30-11.00am It's a deliberately informal gathering of women aged 16years plus.

A light continental style breafast is avaiable and a short discussion/talk takes place afterwards. The aim of the group is for women of all ages in the church to be able to meet together in an informal atmosphere.

It is likely that relationships will be deepened this way and that support and friendship will be strengthened and that this will build up relationships within the church.
